How did you first connect with RRR?
As a passionate music lover, I first connected with RRR upon learning of its very existence. I was introduced to such amazing music and have always felt so lucky to have such a wonderful station to tune in to. Then, as I started playing in my own bands, I really felt how important RRR is to the music community. I was hooked.
What/when was your first show?
My old band were invited on to Best Of The Brat as 'celebrity rooters' back in 2004 AD. Myself and the three devilish hosts quickly fell hard for each other and I kind of became the fourth wheel on the show for a while there. I soon realised that having an outlet to play music I loved to like minded peeps on the radio was the DJ equivalent to a sexy night on tiles with Noel Fielding in full Vince Noir attire. Where do I sign?
Your favourite other Triple R program and why?
If I told you, I'd have to kill you with kindness. I will say though that I do have a special place in my heart for Dynamite. It's a party starter. Oh, and it helps that Jacinta Parsons has the sauciest voice this side of Texas.
What does Triple R mean to you?
Community. A wonderful group of staff and volunteers all with a common bond = rad tunes and a thirst for the arts. The Rs heart pulses strongly through Melbourne, and it is a better city for it.
The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?
I am choosing two. Take THAT society.
Jenny Lewis and The Watson Twins: Rabbit Fur Coat. If you hold it to your ear you can almost hear the ocean, it's that wonderful. And I ALWAYS carry XRabit + DMG$ 'Hello World' on my i Pod for emergencies and non emergencies alike. It is the album of 2009.
