Presents The Heather's On Fire

How did you first connect with Triple R?

About 12 years ago when I first arrived on the fatal shore.  My girlfriend of the time had her transistor constantly tuned to 102.7fm.  I was thus introduced to some great local music and was able to have conversations with like minded people about the local scene.

What/when was your first show?

My first time on radio was as a caller to Best of The Brat.  I was also the in house Scotsman for the segment ‘Scots ‘O’ Clock’ on Wired For Sound.

What's your favourite Triple R story?

Would have to be crammed in like sardines, to watch the White Stripes deliver a blistering performance on the rooftop of the old Fitzroy Triple R residence.

Your favourite other Triple R program and why?

How do you pick only one?  Breakfasters, obviously.  The SkullCave makes the Friday night drive home so much more bearable.  Love Richard Watts and the Smart Arts regulars.  And the less said about Stew and Larry from All Over the Shop, the better.

What does Triple R mean to you?

Great music and conversation, enthusiastic people and a sense of community and belonging.

The studio door has accidentally jammed shut with you stuck inside. If there was only one CD in there with you what would you want it to be and why?

Hmmmm, this is rather difficult.  I was once in the studio when the transmitter went down which was no fun at all.  However the switchboard lit up to inform me about the white noise that was coming through their speakers.  So maybe Metal Machine Music by Lou Reed so I could tell someone to come and get me out.
