The Bedroom Philosopher has the darlingest dimples I've seen in a long time. Naturally, all the girls at his shows drool and their boyfriends get jealous. Funny AND cute: what a combo. I'd like to say he's gonna go a long way, but the fact is he's already come pretty far. A career in the making, he's practically arriving in front of our faces. Songs From The 86 Tram merely solidifies this upward trending. Witty shit, friends.
Hey did you watch the X-factor last night? Guy Sebastian actually said the following words from under a beanie: "You gotta fake it til you make it." Not very fucken christian, Guy. Not the words of a virgin-til-your-wedding-night, bozzo. Anyway, it's incredible the way the contestants come on and kiss Kyle's arse. He vomits out all this sexist, homophobic, racist shit and the contestants try to butter him up. The rest of the panel behave like oh-so-jaded industry veterans. Dear Natalie Imbruglia, Ronan Keating, and Guy Sebastian: you have not delivered to the Australian public a single great song between the three of you. Not one, you spoilt major label brats. The X Factor judging panel should be made up of Renee Geyer, Nick Cave, Christina Amphlett, and Doug Parkinson. Talented veterens, friends.
I walked out of Triple R today and headed for Lygon Street. Jet's bass player* was walking along the road looking pretty magnificent. What cheekbones. Head to toe in black, he was swinging a white plastic bag and loping about. He has perfect, Feargal Sharkey-like hair. I didn't stare at him for too long. I would have loved to have known what was in that white plastic bag, though.

* I once dj'd at a birthday party for his sister. He was a delight: very unassuming and way cool. No-one hassled him, and he mingled like a champ. Oh I know I've slagged off Jet before; their music is so embarrassing. But at least the bass player's soothing viewing.
