Jacki Weaver. I wish she were my aunty! Dave blushed when Jacki told him that she and a boyfriend used to kiss to The Soft And Sexy Sound. Kissing is important! Ever had the hots for someone who, when you finally get them alone and do the pounce, is a shit kisser? It's all downhill from there. Anyway, Jacki knows the importance of kissing, as well as the importance of fine actressing. If you have not seen Animal Kingdom, see it for her performance alone. It'll stay in your mind for life. Or you can catch her in David Williamson's new play, Let The Sunshine. She doesn't know Melbourne very well but she got herself to Triple R sans entourage. I don't know why that impressed me so much, but there's a certain type of artistic pro who hails her own cabs, and tucks her own umbrella under her own arm, and turns up ten minutes before she's due on air and doesn't want to hang in the green room, but says with a sparkle in her eye, "Could I just sit in the studio with you until it's time to go on?" That's the kind of artistic pro I'm talkin bout!
