Another week flying solo on Against The Arctic, this week exploring some psychedelic tones early in the show ending the first bracket with a promising new album from Vorad Fils aka Seekae member John Hassell from Sydney. More form this record in the coming weeks. Things then got dubby and skewed with tunes from King Midas Sound, Dave Aju and Take. The latter’s album is a real grower for 2010 look out for it on Alpha Pup records. Around 9 i dug my heels into some high tech soul checking i with joy Orbison, SBTRKT, Actress, James Blake and woozy deep house from Londoner Blue Daisy. Wound things up with some freaky beats from Onra, Dimlite, Ras G and Paul White and some local indie and electronic sounds. Remember Dam Funk this Friday at Roxanne, Render Thursday 20th @ Bar Open and Scuba and Ras G 24th July at Ms Libertines.
