The Melbourne Sexual Health Centre in Carlton tests for - and treats - sexually transmissable infections. Patients can remain completely anonymous and are not required to provide a Medicare card. From MSHC, Kath Fethers joined us to wax lyrical about the "Women On Women's Health Research Study", which aims to see how the common condition - bacterial vaginosis - occurs in women. It appears to be more prevalent in women with female sexual partners and is associated with a range of complications, if left untreated. The "Spotlight on Stereotypes: Multicultural Communities and the Media" forum will be taking place at the State Library of Victoria, Thursday 13 May from 4pm. Panelists will examine and discuss the dynamics of representations, reporting and regulations when it come to diverse communities and the Australian media. Presented by the Ethnic Communities Council of Victoria; and featuring Indira Naidoo, Aamer Rahman ("Fear of a Brown Planet") and representatives from SBS, ABC and more, this event promises to be exciting, engaging and will deliver much food for thought!
