Today's guests: Peter George and Sally Jackson

20th Mar 10

Today’s guests

Peter George, co-director of Not Quite Straight ,a feature length documentary spoke about the issues facing same-sex attracted young people in Melbourne, which screens at this year's Melbourne Queer Film Festival (Sunday, March 25, ACMI Cinemas).

National Film and Sound Archive curator Sally Jackson discussed the historic find of Patineur Grotesque (1896), a short film by Pathe cameraman Marius Sestier, apparently shot somewhere in Melbourne and only recently rediscovered.  Read more about the Marius Sestier project at the NFSA’s website http://www.nfsa.gov.au/the_collection/marius-sestier-collection.html .
