From the mountains of Nara to the streets of New York, inspired by nature, Japanese folk music and the noise of the industrial world - drummer, trumpeter, guitarist and singer Yoshimi Yokota creates psychedelic soundscapes, bombastic blasts, and tribal rhythms designed to shatter your brain, shake your booty and soothe your soul.
Scott Fisher took a look at the work of an artist who started out drumming for the Boredoms, screamed with OOIOO and produced a string of solo albums whil still finding time to collaborate with the likes of Sonic Youth, Cibo Matto and The Flaming Lips.
