Oh I love books. I love reading. I hope the book never dies. I hope new books continue to be published and that readers continue to buy them. I don't want a kindle. I spend, on average, three days a week away from screens, and on those days I ingest words and sounds via books and CDs. I am quite folksy in that respect. Relatively speaking, ofcourse. Ohhhhhhhh, I loooove books. Barry Divola has just had a work of fiction published, called Nineteen Seventysomething. Dave and I enjoyed it so much that we asked him on our show. It's out via Affirm Press. Barry writes about music for Who Weekly and Rolling Stone Magazine. When I was a teen I subscribed to the latter. I know. What can I say? Half my record collection wouldn't exist if I hadn't have read that magazine. Actually, half of my record collection no longer exists, because it was driving me crazy. But I'll tell you about that some other time.
In other news, I am having a great year so far. And Dave and I are totally psyched to make Twenty Ten an unreal one for BLB. We are both one million per cent on that train. The only thing that's distracting me at this point are the adventures of Lisbeth Salander & co. The Girl who leapt from her own grave! She rocks Swedish shit up so hard. I simply cannot take my eyes off the page.
