GUESTS:
This month on "Outlaw" we discussed the issue of sentencing with our Legal team - principal lawyer, Adrian Kennedy and Belinda Lo - from the Fitzroy Legal Service. Who decides the time to fit the crime, does a judge/magistrate have complete discretion to decide a penalty, how influential is a jury on the final decision and more?

Ever wondered exactly what taxi drivers have to contend with in the confines of a cab? Author Antonio Ranieri lifts the lid on his experiences from 15 years of working as a cabbie in his memoir, "My Life as a Taxi Driver". From people spilling their guts about being impotent, to having affairs, farting, fellatio, weird smells, suburban 'ghosts' and more - all in a night's work and all in his taxi!
Ranieri launches his book tonight:
WHEN: Wednesday 18th November, 2009
WHERE: Percy's, 418 Lygon St, Carlton VIC 3053
TIME: 6.30pm onwards

We finished the show with the sonic vibrations of one Mad Professor, who will be running a dub/reggae workshop during the Australasian World Music Expo. The Professor waxed about culture, blackness, reggae and reaching the people. Checkout out the details of his forum, taking place this Sunday at the Melbourne Recital Centre.
