Flip’s Squishy Japan Easy Peas
STUFF:
4 cups (500g) peas
Miso stock
1 tablespoon mirin
1 tablespoon tamari
1 teaspoon wasabi
1 teaspoon sesame oil
Knob of ginger, peeled and grated
Arame – optional extra
ACTION:
Cook peas in miso stock until tender.
Place in a blender with mirin, tamari and wasabi.
Blend to desired consistency. (you can use some of the miso stock
if you want to thin it out)
Drizzle with sesame oil and top with freshly grated ginger.
If including arame, you can add it at the blending point, or stir
it through or stick it on top underneath the ginger!
A little sweet chili sauce goes wonderfully well too!
Serve with rice and other Japanese style foods or just meat and
veg!
