MISFF, Hand. Hook. Yarn.@The Suzuki night market & Saint Side
21st Feb 11
Rosie and Ash presented RWAV this week. Thanks to Vanessa for producing.
Clint Cure, director of the Melbourne International Student Film Festival came in for a chat. The festival is taking place for the first time this year with a screening at the Northcote Town Hall this Saturday. A wide array of locally and international produced student films will be on show.
We also heard a pre-recorded package put together by Vanessa - she spoke to artist Berri Drum about her crafts business Hand.Hook.Yarn and selling down at the Suzuki Night Market. The Suzuki Night Market is on every Wednesday until the 2nd March.
Lastly, we spoke to Mark Gale, manager of Saint Side, a lowrider and dragster specialty store in St Albans. Mark shared with us the history of Saint Side and how the business has grown but still remains true to its roots as a place for people to meet and share a common interest. Saint Side also distributes apparel and bike parts and is soon to be expanding into homewares.
